Just me & what pops out of my mouth-hole!

Bipolar, bipolar humor, bipolar life, living life at both ends of the poles.

Look into the mind of this bipolar human and you will find happiness…AND MORE.  You will find loneliness…AND MORE.  You will find neediness…AND MORE.  You will find sadness…AND MORE.  You will find creativity…AND MORE.  You will find joy….AND MORE, ALWAYS SO MUCH MORE!!

You know the kid who was told “You’re too much!”?  That’s me.  You know the kid whose parents were told “So-and-so isn’t living up to their full potential.”  That’s me.  You know the person with fifteen hundred great ideas?  THAT’S ME!!!  And they really are great ideas.

Any photos you see are either of me, or taken by me.

  1. Hey euhm, would it be weird if I asked you for your facebook? I know no bipolar people where I’m from, think it’d be interesting apart from blogging

  2. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your posts. I have a 17 year old daughter that can name every single bipolar med cocktail there is and so far none have really worked for her….when do we consider them “working”….who the fuck knows at this point???? Right now she is snoozing on the couch next to me on a Sunday afternoon because she can not sleep at night, She hasn’t slept in almost a year for more than a few hours a night. Nothing worse for a teenage hoping to go away to college than no sleep and the increasing anxiety and mania it brings on. keep rocking…..and telling your story!

    • Thank you so much for reading and thanks even more for your kind comments!!! I feel for your daughter, this disease is a bitch!! Best of luck to you and yours and well to all of us! 🙂

  3. Typed into google “I deserve a f**g break” and this blog came up – I’m having problems with my bipolar right now (on a thousand downers) and this connection lifted me a bit – Ta very much.

  4. Haha!
And I bet they are brilliant idea! Some days I think people just need to keep up, right? Lol You sound full of spirit. Bipolar is just a name. 🙂 You’re more than that! Hugs.
Thanks for checking out my blog. Have a great weekend. HUgs Paula xxx

  5. I have enjoyed your blog. Wondering if you have had any discussions about buying medications via Canadian Pharmacies on your blog. I’m losing my insurance so I am seeking all alternatives. Thanks for your time.

    • Thanks for enjoying my blog 🙂 No discussions yet regarding Canadian pharms. If you are losing your insurance, go to the drug manufacturers website for each of your meds. They ALL have patient assistance programs for the indigent (maybe you’re not indigent, why are you losing your insurance) but anyway they have patient assistance programs to help you get your prescriptions for cheap. Maybe indigent is the wrong word. But check it out! I think it is a cheaper alternative.

  6. I just ran across your blog after clicking on a link on my friend’s blog, which I went to after making an entry on MY blog. I was the same kid who was just “too much”, the kid who had five million ideas and never shut up about them, the kid who didn’t live up to her ‘potential’. (What IS that, anyway?? Just a word that doesn’t mean squat—either we succeed, or we don’t. IMHO.) Anyway, I wanted to let you know that I enjoy your blog and am now following it, as I too am a bipolar blogger and I love reading about everyone else’s experiences. Have a great week!

  7. Hello, there! I’m personally unfamiliar with (and am probably misinformed about) bipolar disorder, but I’m really keen to learn more. I’ve struggled with various degrees of depression. I would describe my last, most severe experience with it as being trapped in a vortex of mind games, lies, and self-loath. I look forward to learning more from your experiences and insights! Stay strong, stay funny! 🙂 It’s amazing how many people you’re encouraging, inspiring, and cheering up. (P.S. I blog about mental health, faith, and life in general.)

  8. Hi bipolaronfire

  9. Hey, I saw you liked my post and came on over to read your blog and I LOVE IT. You really capture the essence of what it means to be bipolar. I play lumosity as well for cognitive help 🙂

    • DBT? It is Dialectical Behavior Therapy, often recommended for suicidal patients. It’s a practice that helps its users develop more emotional regulation and control, and break old negative habits. I highly recommend it!

And, thank you for loving my posts!! 🙂

  10. The girl who “just needs more Jesus.” – THAT’S ME!!!! 🙂 (I still don’t know what the hell needing more Jesus means????)

      • perhaps it means eating more communion wafers and drinking more wine!!! 🙂 I hung up the phone when my parent told me that was really what I needed rather than counseling. Ten years + has brought them around the bend to more understanding but they”ll never know what it’s like.

      • Parental denial is a real thing. I have a little sister who is Borderline and just off the chain toxic and I keep my distance from her. My parents are always saying how sad they are that we don’t have a relationship. I finally said to my Dad today “You realize that she has a very very serious mental illness, don’t you?” To which he responded, Yes. So there!

  12. I think “we bipolar’s” are beautiful creatures out side the box. I think our creativity is unsusrpassed when we are able to articulate what is in our creative minds. That is a gift only God gave us. We need to celebrate it.

  15. I’m currently working on a collaborative post between several writers on what it is like to live with bipolar disorder. I know it’s something we all write about on our blogs every day, but I’m hoping to do this a bit differently. I’d love for you to be involved. If you’re at all interested, please let me know!
